Apply for 2016-17 IRP Fellowship

The Investigative Reporting Program is hiring 2-3 full-time fellows in investigative reporting.  This one-year academic appointment will begin on August 26, 2016.  Fellows’ findings will be published or broadcast for general circulation. Fellows will be provided with a full-time annual salary of $56,808, office space, and up to $10,000 in funds for approved travel. Apply here by Feb. 19, 2016.

Janitorial Company Featured in IRP Documentary Agrees to Review of Sexual Abuse Claims

ABM, the nation’s largest janitorial company, has agreed to an outside review of rape claims made by its female janitors in California. ABM was featured prominently in Rape on the Night Shift, a recent investigation into sexual abuse in the janitorial industry by the IRP, Reveal, KQED, Univision and FRONTLINE.


Daffodil Altan

Producer Daffodil Altan Joins IRP

Daffodil Altan is an Emmy-nominated journalist and documentary film producer who joined the IRP on Nov. 1.  Previously she was a producer at the Center for Investigative Reporting, where her reporting on teen solitary confinement at Rikers Island was part of a wave of renewed coverage that led to reforms for teens at the New York City jail.
