IRP Founder Lowell Bergman spoke at Sundance Film Festival for the “Democracy Hacked?” panel Jan. 27 in Park City, Utah. The discussion explored ways to foster and protect democracy against inequality, the corrosion of public discourse, and the polarizing forces of the internet. Bergman was joined by reporter and political and cultural analyst Farai Chideya, director Jehane Noujaim (The Great Hack), author Tim Wu (The Attention Merchants), and Patrick Gaspard (president, Open Society Foundations).
