Abbie VanSickle Joins IRP as Reporter

Abbie VanSickle has joined the IRP as a reporter, beginning September 22, 2014. She started her journalism career at the St. Petersburg Times (now the Tampa Bay Times), where she covered crime and breaking news for four years. She has also worked as a lawyer, practicing as a public defender in Seattle and as a human rights lawyer in China. She received her law degree from UC Berkeley, School of Law, and her journalism degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. From 2011 to 2012, she was a Henry Luce Scholar in Cambodia, where she worked on behalf of survivors at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.Sickle is a reporter for the Investigative Reporting Program.
